From the composer:

Six Preludes was composed for and are dedicated to Alissa Leiser, a pianist with whom I’ve had a long and artistically splendid association. For the most part the titles are self explanatory. Some further thoughts: Reverie bears the subtitle “in memoriam E. H.” and recalls a few aspects from the life of my dear friend Elizabeth Hollander, who died in the fall of 2015. Entropy parodies a well known Chopin prelude and Für Alissa jabs at Beethoven’s indelible contribution to young pianists Für Elise – pun, alas, intended.

  1. Momentum
  2. Swerving
  3. Reverie
  4. Interruption
  5. Entropy
  6. Für Alissa

Commission/Dedication: Composed for and dedicated to Alissa Leiser.
Premiere: Premiered at BargeMusic in Brooklyn, NY by Alissa Leiser on June 16, 2017.
