From the composer:
Seeking You is the depiction of a never ending search for the truth that all humans grapple with in different ways. To me it seems like Muhammad Iqbal is suggesting a solution to this predicament at the end of his poem Navaye Táhirih (“The Song of Táhirih”) by offering a different perspective: one that focuses on the path itself rather than the end goal, and focuses on self transformations through understanding the importance of love and the courage to fly.
Some scholars (and admirers) of poet Táhirih Qurrat al-‘Ayn maintain that Iqbal’s Navaye Táhirih may be an excerpt (or inspired by) a poem of Táhirih, reflecting Iqbal’s deep admiration for her. This claim however remains contested.
