From the composer:
Two Score, for solo cello, was written in honor of the 40th anniversary of Beverly and Stephen Woolf, and premiered as a surprise to the honorees in 2004 by Matt Haimovitz. The title is meant as a double entendre, celebrating both the longevity and levity of their extraordinary union.
