From the composer:

Epithalamion, a wedding blessing, was originally written for soprano and cello on a text
by Richard Crashaw. The piece calls for a long, sweet, and most importantly, harmonious
marriage. The version for oboe and bassoon was made for the Syrinx Ensemble.

Commission/Dedication: Arranged for the Syrinx Ensemble from the original work for soprano and cello.
Premiere: First performed in 1999 at the Community Music Center in Springfield, MA by the Syrinx Ensemble.
