Human kind’s pursuit of desire is like a double-edged sword. As we strive for perfection, the restlessness never fades away. This state of restlessness is what I tried to capture in En Cherchant as it manifested itself in different registers, textures, and rhythmic activity.
Commission/Dedication: Commissioned by Amsterdam Sinfonietta.
Premiere: First performed November 10, 2024 in ‘S-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands by Amsterdam Sinfonietta, with Simon Blendis conducting.
