From the composer:

Stately and powerful celebratory Te Deum suitable for performance and services. In the second movement, the congregation (or second choir) introduces the theme with the organ, “Day by day we magnify Thee and we worship Thy name, ever world without end.”


Commission/Dedication: Commissioned by Professor Walter Nollner and the Princeton University Department of Chapel Music for the dedication of the 1991 renovation of the chapel organ by N.P. Mander Ltd., April 5, 1992.
Premiere: First performed April 5, 1992 at the Princeton University Chapel by the Princeton University Chapel Choir with Curtis Lasell, organ, conducted by Walter Nollner.
