FAQ

What formats are available?

Oxingale Music provides sheet music in three ways: for sale in either the printed edition or as digital PDF files, and as printed materials for rent. Many works are available as a complete set of score and parts, in the printed edition or as PDF files. Choral scores are available only in the printed edition or for rent.  Orchestral and large-scale works are available for sale in full score only, with complete performance materials available for rent. For more information about renting music, please contact us.

How do I purchase printed music?

Most Oxingale Music scores can be purchased in the printed edition and shipped directly to your door. The music is bound and printed on heavy, high-quality paper and comes with performance-ready parts. To purchase, click on the “Add to Cart” button following the Printed Edition price, and complete your purchase on Paypal. The music will be shipped to your PayPal shipping address. Depending on your location, you should receive your music within 5 business days. For large orders or if PayPal isn’t for you, please contact us.

How do I purchase a PDF file?

Oxingale Music provides digital sheet music, which you can print at home. To purchase music as a PDF file, click on the “Add to Cart” button following the PDF price. This will bring you to a Paypal site where you can review your selections and return to oxingalemusic.com to continue browsing. When you are ready to purchase, click on the “Check Out” button to go to a secure Paypal site that will ask for your credit or debit information. Once you have paid, Oxingale Music will send you the PDF files and a password via email. The PDF can be opened using Adobe Acrobat Reader (available as a free download here). You will be prompted for a password. Simply use the password that was emailed to you to open the PDF and print your music.

PDF’s are formatted to print on either letter or legal size paper (files that require legal paper will have _lgl at the end of the file name).  Scores are formatted to print recto-verso (double sided), and we recommend binding them with clear covers at your local copy-print center.  Parts should most often be printed single-sided.  If you have any questions about printing or do not see the format you are looking for, please contact us.

Where do I download Acrobat?

You can download a free version of Adobe Reader 9 here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

My score won’t open

When you purchase a PDF score you will receive a password via email.  You will need the password to view the score.  After you have entered the password you will be able to open and print the music.

How many copies can I print?

The music you have purchased as a PDF is for your personal use only.  We ask that you print only the number of copies you need, and that you do not pass the sheet music or digital files on to anyone else.  If you need additional copies for friends or colleagues, please come back to oxingalemusic.com and purchase again.

By using the password provided with your files, you agree to RESPECT COPYRIGHT LAWS AND THE ARTISTS WHO DEPEND ON THEM.

What is the print quality of your digital files?

The PDF files you will receive will print at text quality, which is much clearer than the compressed images we are able to show you elsewhere on this site. Click the image below for a high-resolution example of our PDF’s:

Why can’t I download directly from your site?

Scores are provided via email to prevent theft. Oxingale Music has a responsibility to its composers to ensure that each score is paid for.

Can I rent music?

Can I use your music in a paper/book/recording/film?
